There are a bunch of movies coming out this fall of 2025 that we're excited to see:
August 8 – Weapons
From director Zach Cregger (Barbarian), Weapons follows the mysterious disappearance of a teenager in a small town. The film reportedly weaves together multiple storylines and leans heavily into psychological and supernatural horror.
August 8 – Strange Harvest
Presented as a mockumentary, Strange Harvest investigates a series of livestock mutilations and ritual killings in the Inland Empire. The film blends true crime and conspiracy theory with horror, and early footage suggests a gritty, low-fi aesthetic.
August 8 – Shaman
A skeptical journalist follows a missionary to Ecuador to investigate a healing ritual connected to an active volcano. As the trip unfolds, the journalist begins to believe the ritual may be real… and that something evil is attached to it.
August 8 – Birthrite
When a young woman returns home after a family emergency, she discovers her relatives are part of a cult that has been preparing her for a specific role. Birthrite explores themes of inheritance, control, and occult belief systems.
August 8 – Somnium
A woman begins having vivid, unsettling dreams that leave her physically bruised when she wakes. As the dreams escalate, she realizes they might be more than just subconscious fears… and that they may be tied to something supernatural.
August 15 – Witchboard
This remake of the 1986 cult classic centers on a group of friends who uncover an antique spirit board while renovating a New Orleans property. Once they start using it, they begin to experience a series of disturbing events they can't explain.
August 20 – Hell House LLC: Lineage
The fifth installment in the Hell House LLC found footage series returns to the Abaddon Hotel, where a new team of investigators attempts to uncover the property's dark history. The film promises more backstory and more unexplained phenomena.
August 22 – Lilly Lives Alone
After losing her daughter, a grieving mother isolates herself in her home, where she begins to experience strange visions and unexplained sounds. As the anniversary of her daughter’s death approaches, she starts to question whether her daughter is truly gone.
September 5 – The Conjuring: Last Rites
The final film in The Conjuring franchise brings back Ed and Lorraine Warren for one last case. The story is expected to tie up several threads from previous films while introducing a new haunting with deadly consequences.
September 12 – The Long Walk
Based on the novel by Stephen King, The Long Walk follows 100 teenage boys competing in a government-mandated endurance contest where they must keep walking or face elimination. The film blends dystopian thriller and survival horror.
September 19 – HIM
Produced by Monkeypaw Productions, HIM is a supernatural sports horror film centered on a high school football player with a mysterious connection to an otherworldly force. The film explores themes of identity, fame, and corruption through a horror lens.
September 26 – The Strangers: Chapter 2
The second film in the new Strangers trilogy picks up immediately after the first. A young woman continues her attempt to escape from the masked killers who have been stalking her. The film builds on the home-invasion horror of the original series.
September 26 – Saw XI
The eleventh entry in the Saw franchise brings back the series' signature traps and moral tests. The story reportedly takes place between earlier films in the timeline and focuses on a new set of victims caught in Jigsaw’s twisted plans.
October 17 – The Black Phone 2
This sequel to The Black Phone brings back Ethan Hawke as The Grabber. While the first film focused on a boy’s supernatural communication with past victims, the sequel expands on the mythology behind the killer and the cursed phone.
October 24 – Bone Lake
A group of friends heads to a remote cabin near Bone Lake for a relaxing weekend, but the trip takes a dark turn after they discover evidence of a previous tragedy. As paranoia grows, they suspect something dangerous is still out there.
November 14 – Keeper
A woman moves to a secluded cabin after a personal tragedy, hoping for peace and healing. Instead, she begins to experience increasingly disturbing events that suggest she’s not alone… and that someone or something may be watching her.
December 5 – Five Nights at Freddy’s 2
The sequel to the 2023 video game adaptation introduces a new security guard working the night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. With upgraded animatronics and new mysteries to uncover, the sequel continues the haunted survival story.
December 12 – Silent Night, Deadly Night
A modern remake of the controversial 1984 slasher film, this version follows a man whose traumatic childhood leads him to commit a series of murders during the holiday season. The film explores how trauma and isolation can turn deadly.
